What Our Inquiring Minds Really Want to Know:
As the largest generation of Americans enters retirement age, health and wellness have moved to the forefront of our collective awareness. Never shy about voicing our concerns, today an aging boomer generation wants to know how we can...

- Reduce our risk level for major disease
- Live longer, more productive lives
The answer to all these questions can be found in Doctor Terlinsky's Wellness Optimization Programs, combining proven concepts and techniques from prevention, nutrition, functional and integrative medicine, as well as more traditional, allopathic methods.

"Leaf Doctors" and "Root Doctors"
The illustration shown at left illustrates the relationship of underlying (root) causes of common disorders to their symptoms. Practitioners in the emerging field of Functional Medicine ("root doctors") study these relationships in order to better diagnose and treat difficult chronic disorders such as CFS, FMS, IBS and others. OptimalWellnessDoc has adopted many of Functional Medicine's proven and effective treatment protocols into our diagnostic procedures Wellness programs.
Most of today's physicians can be thought of as Leaf doctors, per the illustration above; because their time, interests, and responsibilities rarely extend beyond the focus of their specialization. When the underlying root causes of a disorder lay beyond a physician's particular area of expertise - chances of successful diagnosis and treatment become diminished.
